Collection Profile
The following settings are used to set automatic statistics collection on new switches, and configure the default Statistics Profile collection settings. By default, these settings are pre-selected when you configure a Collection Profile. These default settings can be modified when you configure a Collection Profile.
- Enable Statistics Automatically On - Automatically enables statistics collection on new devices when they are added to the network. Select the number of new devices on which you want to automatically enable Analytics Statistics collection. This will be applied to new devices added to your network. (By default, statistics collection is enabled on 2000 devices for a new OmniVista installation and 0 devices for an OmniVista upgrade.) If you select "All" all new devices will begin collecting the selected Statistics Attributes when they are added to the network. If you select "10" the first 10 devices added to the network will collect the selected attributes; if you select 20, the first 20 devices added to the network will collect the selected attributes, etc. This does not apply to any devices on your network that were configured for Statistics, as configurations on those devices will not change. Note that if you choose "All" and you add a large number of network devices, there is a risk of performance impact.
- Statistics Attributes to Collect By Default - Select the default Statistics Attributes you want to collect from any new Custom Performance Monitoring Profiles. Note that these are the default settings; you can change these settings when creating a profile. This will be applied to new profiles. It does not affect attributes included in any existing profile.
